My heart has slowly been breaking for the last few months as we have discovered that we must leave our beloved little home on Buttermik Rd. But today, it must begin mending itself as our family settles in to life on the farm. We have been gradually making the house ours with new paint and cleaning and moving and today was finally the day that we moved ourselves in. The house feels more and more like us and less like Pop and Mommom each day and with each chore completed. So, from now on, the Chronicles of our little troop will be coming from a new location. We have only moved 1.5 miles but in emotional miles it seems like a long journey. Life is never dull.
The cows are in full swing with their calving, so I'm sure our first night here will not be a quiet one. We have also found that after an eventful afternoon, Abbie is afraid of the farm, she got shocked by the electric fence, then turned around in the kitchen and ran into the door frame and ran to her crate to hide from the big bad world we've dumped her into. I can only hope that Charlotte and Norah adjust to life here with a little more grace.
Good Night!
